Ending a Tenancy

Plan your move from a managed property

If you are preparing to leave a Ray White Paihia managed property, contact your property manager early and check the notice requirements that apply to your tenancy. The correct process and dates depend on the tenancy agreement and circumstances.

Before the final inspection

• Confirm your intended leaving date in writing.
• Review the entry condition report and any instructions from your property manager.
• Remove personal belongings and rubbish, and leave the home reasonably clean and tidy.
• Complete agreed repairs for any tenant-caused damage.
• Return every key, remote and access device as arranged.

Utilities, mail and bond

Arrange final utility readings where needed, update your postal address and provide forwarding details. Bond release can be progressed after the tenancy has ended and the final position has been confirmed.
